Vitamin B6 and Mineral Metabolism
A deficiency of, or an increased requirement for Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) leads to alterations in the metabolism, utilization and alters the balance between calcium and magnesium. When this happens, calcium retention will increase and the excretion of magnesium will also increase when vitamin B6 is lacking. Therefore, increasing intake of vitamin B6 may be indicated for certain people with certain hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) patterns.
